These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Mothering the Mother website and to purchases of our courses, live cohorts, 1:1 services and apothecary products.

Please read these Terms carefully before making a purchase.

By using this website or purchasing from Mothering the Mother, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. ABOUT MOTHERING THE MOTHER

Mothering the Mother is a wellness and education business founded by Francesca Secolonovo, trading as Mothering The Mother.

Mothering the Mother provides educational resources, postpartum planning support, courses, live group experiences, 1:1 support and selected wellness products.

Nothing provided through Mothering the Mother is intended to replace appropriate medical care or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

2. USING THIS WEBSITE

You agree to use this website lawfully and respectfully.

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website

  • Copy or reproduce website content for commercial purposes

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website

  • Use our content or materials in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights

We may update, amend or remove website content where reasonably necessary.

3. THE MOTHER’S NEST — ONLINE COURSE

The Mother’s Nest is an online educational programme designed to help expectant mothers prepare intentionally for postpartum.

The course includes educational material relating to postpartum preparation, Ayurvedic wisdom, nutrition, herbal traditions, rest, nourishment, bodywork, emotional wellbeing, support systems and creating a personalised postpartum plan.

Your purchase includes the course access described on the relevant sales page at the time of purchase.

4. THE MOTHER’S NEST — LIVE COHORT

The Mother’s Nest may periodically be offered as a live cohort.

The live cohort consists of a four-week guided experience during which participants work through the self-paced course alongside other mothers.

Depending on the cohort purchased, this may include:

  • Weekly live group calls

  • Q&A and guidance

  • A private Telegram community

  • Accountability and encouragement

  • Support while creating a personalised postpartum plan

  • Lifetime access to the self-paced course

The exact cohort dates and arrangements will be communicated at the time of purchase.

If you cannot attend a live call, this does not entitle you to a refund. Where recordings are provided, they will be made available for participants.

The live cohort is a group educational experience and is not a substitute for individual medical, psychological, nutritional or therapeutic care.

5. LIFETIME ACCESS

Where your purchase includes lifetime access, this means access for the lifetime of the relevant course or programme as operated by Mothering the Mother.

It does not guarantee that a particular third-party technology platform will remain available indefinitely.

We may update, improve, replace or reorganise course materials from time to time.

We will not intentionally remove the substantial benefit of the course you purchased without reasonable cause.

6. 1:1 POSTPARTUM PLANNING

Mothering the Mother may offer individual postpartum planning support.

A 1:1 package may include a combination of:

  • Preparation sessions

  • Postpartum planning

  • Guidance around rest and nourishment

  • Support with creating a postpartum village

  • Partner and family preparation

  • Educational Ayurvedic and traditional postpartum guidance

  • Resources and planning materials

  • Postpartum follow-up sessions

The exact number and duration of sessions included will be stated on the relevant sales page or booking confirmation.

1:1 support is educational and supportive in nature.

It is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, midwifery or a replacement for care from your maternity or healthcare team.

You remain responsible for seeking appropriate professional healthcare when required.

7. APPOINTMENTS AND 1:1 CANCELLATIONS

1:1 appointments are reserved specifically for you.

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least [48 hours] notice.

Where sufficient notice is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your appointment.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may be treated as a used session unless exceptional circumstances apply.

Any specific cancellation terms displayed at the time of booking will also apply.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

8. PAYMENT

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated.

The total price payable will be shown before you complete your purchase.

For The Mother’s Nest founding cohort, the applicable founding price and any instalment options will be displayed on the sales and checkout pages.

Where an instalment plan is selected, you agree to make all scheduled payments.

If an instalment payment fails, we may suspend access to the course, live cohort or community until the outstanding payment has been resolved.

For 1:1 services, payment is required according to the payment terms shown at booking.

9. DIGITAL CONTENT AND CANCELLATION RIGHTS

When purchasing digital content such as an online course, UK consumer cancellation rights may apply.

Where you request immediate access to digital content before the end of the statutory cancellation period, you will be asked to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you may lose your statutory right to cancel once supply begins, where permitted by law.

The relevant consent will be obtained at checkout.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. REFUNDS

Refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer law and the specific terms applicable to the product or service purchased.

Because The Mother’s Nest contains digital content and live cohort access, the circumstances in which a cancellation or refund is available may depend on when access begins and the consent provided at checkout.

Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All original content created by Mothering the Mother remains our intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

This includes, without limitation:

  • The Mother’s Nest course

  • Course videos and recordings

  • Audio content

  • Workbooks

  • PDFs

  • Worksheets

  • Planning templates

  • Recipes

  • Educational frameworks

  • Original teaching methods

  • Written content

  • Photography

  • Graphics

  • Website content

  • Branding

  • Logos

  • The Mother’s Nest name

  • Mothering the Mother name and associated materials

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased materials for your own personal and educational purposes.

You may not:

  • Share your login details

  • Give course access to another person

  • Copy or reproduce substantial portions of the course

  • Upload course materials to another website

  • Share paid resources publicly

  • Sell or redistribute our materials

  • Use our materials to create your own course or programme

  • Teach our course content commercially without written permission

  • Reproduce or commercially exploit our frameworks, worksheets or resources

  • Record or redistribute live calls without written permission

You may print or download resources where this functionality is provided, solely for your own personal use.

If you would like to use any Mothering the Mother content professionally or commercially, please contact us for written permission.

12. COMMUNITY AND TELEGRAM

Where a Telegram or other private community is provided, it is intended to be a supportive space for participants.

You agree to:

  • Treat other members respectfully

  • Respect confidentiality

  • Avoid harassment or discriminatory behaviour

  • Avoid unsolicited promotion

  • Avoid sharing another member's personal information

  • Avoid sharing screenshots or recordings of private conversations without permission

The community is not an emergency support service.

We reserve the right to remove access to the community where a participant behaves in a way that is harmful, abusive or materially disruptive.

Where community access is included only for the duration of a live cohort, access will end when the relevant cohort ends unless otherwise stated.

13. HEALTH, AYURVEDA AND WELLNESS DISCLAIMER

Mothering the Mother provides educational information relating to postpartum wellbeing, Ayurveda, nutrition, herbs, traditional practices, bodywork and maternal care.

This information is not intended to:

  • Diagnose a medical condition

  • Treat or cure illness

  • Replace medical care

  • Replace advice from your GP, midwife, obstetrician, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional

Pregnancy, birth and postpartum are individual experiences.

You should seek appropriate professional advice regarding your own circumstances, particularly if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, breastfeeding, recovering from complications or have concerns about yourself or your baby.

14. HERBS, SUPPLEMENTS AND NUTRITION

Information about herbs, supplements, foods and traditional preparations is provided for educational purposes.

Individual herbs and supplements may not be appropriate for everyone and may interact with medicines or medical conditions.

You are responsible for checking the suitability of any product or practice for your own circumstances and obtaining appropriate professional advice where necessary.

Nothing on our website or within our programmes should be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular health outcome.

15. APOTHECARY PRODUCTS

Our apothecary may include products such as herbal preparations, teas, body products, oils, soaks and other wellness products.

Each product will be accompanied by relevant product information, ingredients, instructions and precautions where applicable.

You agree to read and follow the product instructions and warnings before use.

You should check ingredients carefully if you have allergies, sensitivities or other relevant concerns.

Products should be stored according to the instructions provided and kept away from children where appropriate.

Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease unless expressly authorised and regulated for that purpose.

16. PRODUCT SAFETY

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that products supplied are safe, accurately described and appropriately labelled in accordance with applicable law.

You must follow all instructions, warnings and precautions supplied with a product.

If you experience an adverse reaction or believe a product may be unsafe, discontinue use and contact us.

Where appropriate, seek medical attention.

17. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs and information are accurate.

Natural products may vary slightly in colour, appearance, texture or aroma.

Such variations do not necessarily indicate a defect.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights regarding goods that are faulty, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

18. SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping, delivery, cancellation and returns for physical products are governed by our Shipping & Returns Policy.

This policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

19. WEBSITE AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We may use third-party platforms to deliver our services, process payments, host courses, facilitate live calls or provide community services.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

20. TESTIMONIALS

Where testimonials or experiences are shared on our website or marketing materials, they represent the individual experience of the person providing them.

They are not guarantees of the experience or outcome another person will receive.

21. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

We do not seek to exclude or reduce your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those rights, we will not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated at the time the contract was entered into or which arise outside our reasonable control.

22. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including serious illness, natural disasters, technical failures, interruption to third-party platforms, government restrictions or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented.

Where appropriate, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement.

23. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary.

The Terms applicable to your purchase will generally be those in force at the time you entered into the contract, subject to changes required by law or agreed with you.

24. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you.
